46 Parallel Wine Group wines are recognized The Best at the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2021

The wines of the 46 Parallel brand have been awarded with gold and silver medals of the International Competition – Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and are recognized as one of the best among 10,000 wines from 50 countries.

46 Parallel Wine Group is the only Ukrainian company, which received the highest awards in the blind tastings of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, that  took place in Luxembourg on June 17-27. That’s not only company’s success, which in one and a half years has won almost 50 medals at international and Ukrainian competitions, but also a success of the entire Ukrainian wine industry. With this victory, the winemakers have once again confirmed that domestic wines deserve to be on the same list as the best wines in the world, as well as to become a calling card of the country in the international arena.

Wines from the Grand Admiral and El Capitan collections received recognition from experts of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2021. The gold medal of the competition was given to the author’s premium vintage dry red wine Grand Admiral Merlot – Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine won the favor of experts due to the its high quality and unique nature of the profile. It features a special bouquet with shades of black currant, plum, chocolate, licorice and saffron and has a perfectly balanced, harmonious taste with vanilla tones of oak. This feature of the wine is provided by 24-month aging in French oak barrels, which have the level of roasting “medium” and “medium +” followed by aging in the bottle. Grand Admiral Merlot – Cabernet Sauvignon is also awarded with medals: Odessa Wine & Spirits Awards 2021 (gold), “Best Ukrainian Wine 2021” (gold), London Wine Competition 2021 (silver), Ukrainian Wine & Spirits Awards 2020 (silver), Wine Guide of Ukraine 2020 ( silver).

Silver medal in Luxembourg went to the vintage dry red wine – Grand Admiral Merlot. It is also characterized by aging in French oak barrels of the “medium” and “medium +” roasting levels for 24 months and subsequent aging in the bottle. The wine has an exquisite bouquet of blackberries, ripe cherries, complemented by shades of red pepper and Virginia tobacco. The experts from around the world were captivated by this wine and it also won six awards in Ukrainian and international competitions, as well as received positive reviews from the consultant of Her Majesty the Queen of Great Britain – Jensis Robinson, which is an uncompromising expert in quality issues.

The silver medal of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2021 in the achievements of the 46th Parallel Wine Group was brought by the sparkling wine El Capitan Brut from the exquisite collection of light premium wines El Capitan. To create exquisite El Capitan wines, winemakers of the 46th Parallel Wine Group select only the best Ukrainian grapes of the Pinot group of varieties. All wines submitted to the competition go through several stages of selection and thorough examination. This year they were evaluated by 60 tasters’ commissions – a total of 250 world-class professionals with vast experience in participating in blind tastings.

The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is one of the most prestigious international wine competitions, bringing together key industry players from all over the world, and its experts are listened to by wine producers from four continents. The most prestigious awards are played here. And all for the sake of one – the desire for high quality. Due to this, the competition has earned a reputation of the most professional and has long been a guide for consumers in the world of quality winemaking. The first Wine World Championship Concours Mondial de Bruxelles was held in 1994. Then in just two months at a tasting in Bruges managed to gather 869 brands from 29 countries. But despite its original Brussels origins, since 2006 the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles has been held in various wine regions of Europe in an away format.
