Apostrophe Brand supported “The Best Bar-Ladies of Ukraine” competition. Monin Ladies Challenge 2021
The first emotional wine brand Apostrophe Wine and Monin Ukraine, with the support of the All-Ukrainian Bartenders Association, held a special competition among the best representatives of the bar community.
10 contestants from all over Ukraine took part in the final of the contest, which took place on March 16 in PRO BAR. Among the members of the jury, who evaluated the bar-lady on several criteria, was the brand ambassador of 46 Parallel Wine Group Eugene Segan. The task for the contestants was not an easy one: not only to present their cocktail based on Apostrophe wines, but also to add a touch of spiciness with unusual presentation, charisma, charm, in a word, to reveal all the skill and creativity, which they coped brilliantly. According to the results of the evaluation, the pedestal of the winners was headed by: 1st place Belova Olena, Kyiv, «Par Bar 3», 2nd place Charuk Daria, Lutsk, bar «Fabrica», 3rd place Usach Anastasia, Kyiv, «Virgin Izakaya».
– Since the foundation, our company 46 Parallel Wine Group has decided to join the Association of Bartenders of Ukraine. All because we understood, that wine is not just a single product, but a great basis for mixology, creating unique cocktails and combinations of flavors. Wine cocktails have long been a trend in the world and we believe that this trend should be cultivated in Ukraine, bar culture should be maintained and developed, inspire the bar community to search for new mixes, and therefore we consider such competitions a great platform to achieve this goal. – says CEO and owner of 46 Parallel Wine Group Anna Gorkun.
Eugene Segan also gave a lecture at the competition. Among other things, he emphasized that – Wine is a very multi-component basis and additional additives may not give the result you expect. Therefore, preliminary work on cocktails is very important. Both consumers and professionals have the right to demand stable wine quality, especially when it comes to wine as a base for cocktails. Apostrophe gives a special importance to this factor.
All contestants received a lot of positive emotions, enormous amount of flowers and gifts from the organizers. -I believe that wine-based cocktails have a future. Now the trend is for low-ABV cocktails with a bright aroma, so wines can help us, bartenders, in creating new original recipes, and Apostrophe emotional wines are the best confirmation of this, – shared her impressions the winner Elena Belova.
Recipe for a winning cocktail • Monin bergamot – 25 ml A mixture of fresh lemon and lime – 10 ml Gum Arabic and Easy Foam – 30 ml Apostrophe white dry Chardonnay wine – 50 ml Garnish – isomalt cobweb, hemisphere from meringue and foam from mascarpone and strawberry.
